By etymology, to “educate” is to raise, train, or lead an individual with the nurture and support that leads to physical, mental, and spiritual empowerment through experiential knowledge. Our culture has failed to respect our triune nature and the value of being holistic in our approaches; but things are changing. We are remembering that we are triune beings: body, mind, and soul; physical, mental, and spiritual. We have feeling. We have thinking. We have identity.

We have allowed modern culture (arts, beliefs, customs, institutions, and other products of collective thought, predominating attitudes, and behaviors that characterize our social norms) to fragment us from ourselves. What do we truly have if we do not know who we are and what we are here to do? How well, how good, how smart can we be if we lack emotional and social intelligence? What do we truly have if our minds and bodies are not intentionally prepared to endure the troubles of the human experience?

We have considered success to be the accumulation of material things, which can be broken or taken, instead of our ability to navigate the troubles of this life with peace and understanding. We have missed the fact that True Success is about satisfaction and fulfillment. True education would holistically teaches us these things.

University should be the epitome of true education rather than a conveyor belt leading to boredom, stress, competition, stifled dreams, and shareholder demands! True education fertilizes our genius and empowers us to pursue the highest aim cocooned in our hearts. True education shows us how to navigate and overcome unhealthy emotions and fatigue for the sake of greater freedom and self-expression. True education reveals the necessity of community for health and wellness.

What could be more valuable than understanding the purpose and meaning of our life? What could be more valuable than experiencing the evidence of being an exceptional human in the face of uncertainty, temptation, and tragedy? What could be more valuable than knowing you can cultivate happiness without being dependent on anything or anyone else? What could be more valuable than attaining your hearts’ true aspirations and passing that wisdom to the next generation?

I AM University is focused on the foundation of True Education which begins with Identity & Purpose. The metaphorical house of one’s life requires this foundation if True Success is to be attained. Self-knowledge & Self awareness are the focal point from which every aspiration can awaken and ever distraction loses its influence. From this focal point of personal growth we can build thriving communities.

The inevitable crossroad of the 21st century is attention and focus that is recalibrated from that which is outside us and redirected to that which is within. It is courageous way-making to find your heart, listen to your heart, and follow your heart. This is the most sure route to the best version of you and your highest self expression.
