My newsletter titled Bible Redefined is a labor of love. My passion for studying the ancient scriptures and languages has been fueled by this consideration:
Is it ok to take a book written by ancient people, composed of ancient context and intention, and interpret that book through another cultures’ politicized worldview? If we care to understand the book in the way it was meant to be understood, it is NOT appropriate to interpret it according to our cultural biases and prejudices. To do so would be appropriation rather than honest scholarship. Yet, this is exactly what the western world has done with the Bible. That we are ignorant of how our language influences inaccurate interpretations and how our religions are born of the matrix is no simple problem. It is all thoroughly unpacked in Bible Redefined. THIS IS NOT A RELIGIOUS BOOK.
