Can we have both freedom and equality?
FREEDOM and EQUALITY are elements of the human birthright and are very much akin to Love and Peace. To know Freedom and Equality we must be able to realize how the question of their existence or availability is the result of the Ego; born of Self-ignorance.
In our relationships and day-to-day lives, each person has a role to play. We hope to find the gift of our role, for this is what makes life truly worth living; knowing we have something positive and meaningful to give that naturally flows from our Self-expression. We are free to play our role and should fully realize the gift our role is to ourselves and to those who experience it. We are free to play another role as well, but with the natural consequence that may follow. We are free to do whatever we’d like but not without consequence! This is the nature of Life and the true nature of Freedom and Equality. We are all free to choose and this freedom is equally given, and naturally expressed, in human nature.
About roles: Not all roles are equal, in the sense that our limited construct conceptualizes “equality”. This is where the rubber meets the road on our path to greater Self-expression. To paint a picture: The foot humbly, happily, and intelligently plays its role knowing it cannot be and wasn’t intended to be the hand. The hand humbly, happily, and intelligently plays its role knowing it cannot be and wasn’t intended to be the head. Each part is free to do what it is designed to do. Each part is free to do what it is meant to do. Each part is satisfied and fulfilled doing what it can and what it must, defined by it’s natural function (purpose and identity).
Each of us are free to do what we are here to do. When consciously aware of our identity (who we are) and purpose (what we are here to do) we experience the fullness of freedom as our birthright, rather than a permission or a retaliation. This is how we cultivate meaning and happiness in our life experience.
About equality: Not all roles are equal, in the sense of our limited human understanding. Clearly, all roles are not the same or create the same results. Only the Ego cares about that, yet Ego is necessary. Our struggle with issues like Freedom and Equality are necessary experiences to bring us to the larger question of Who We Are. Our depravity gives us the means to see our opposing desire for goodness. Our propensity for injustice and our ability to be dangerous to ourselves and others is the doorway to recognizing our virtue of expressing Love and Trustworthiness.
Metaphorically speaking, the various parts of the body, or a team, or an orchestra cannot accomplish The Goal without one another. The Goal is Complete Functionality for the sake of True Success (True Satisfaction & True Fulfillment). I will also call it Wholeness- the scope of seeing and experiencing The Ultimately Desired Result. This Goal, This True Success; This Wholeness; This Ultimately Desired Result is Love. The True Resting Place of every vicious and virtuous endeavor.
More on equality: Everyone is born with the same Conscious Awareness. In the unlimited understanding of Conscious Awareness we are seen and adored equally. Every role is equal in that it contributes to The Whole and supports The Goal. This is The Foundation of True Freedom and True Equality. In Mind, all are equal, though the circumstances are unique. In Mind, all are free to choose though the circumstances are unique. The unique circumstances highlight the role the individual is meant to play or fulfill. The gift is in appreciating Who You Are and what you are here to do, without egotistical pride or prejudice.
Conscious Awareness is free to express itself in myriad ways, however it may choose: this is Ultimate Freedom. This is Ultimate Freedom because Conscious Awareness is One appearing as many. Unified appearing as duality and multiplicity. The expression of Freedom and Equality is Preeminent, First, Original. When you know Who You Are, you know, by experience, how Freedom and Equality began with The Foremost Choice, beyond space and time. There is much to say about this, in a later blog or you can read in many of my other blog entries and translations.
The human mind, or Ego, is why we hold Freedom and Equality in question. It is actually a question of Self-knowledge, Self-worth, and Self-Love. Freedom & Equality are only brought into question because we live in a Matrix (world system) wherein our ability to express Freedom and Equality are seemingly lessened. This is the case only because we do not know ourselves and through that Self-ignorance create very unstable social paradigms that are void of Love- the very thing we are all looking for. We struggle with Freedom and Equality because we are unaware of Who We Are. What we are looking for and Who We Are are One.
Who are you? What are you here to do? Can you answer these questions without the data of the Matrix (this world system) and the on-going narrative of the Ego? Do you even know what that means and how to do it? Helping you answer these questions of Identity and Purpose, truthfully, is the role I am here to play. Once you and I, all of us, understand this, we will see how everything that needs changing in our lives and in our world is possible. We will also recognize how we’ve been falling short and that is why we have struggled with the same problems on our planet for millennia: Freedom & Equality.
